thaumatropes
Following on from the spinning tops we made some more rotating toys - thaumatropes ('turning wonders'). These are my 'here's one I did earlier' attempts. The children came up with some really imaginative ones that I tried to capture, but the shutter speed on my old digital just wasn't up to the task!

Oh I've been meaning to have a go at doing some of these, they are great fun!
You should Gretel! I just had a thought - they would make great promotional pieces - you could have a photo of one of your creations on one side and a suitable, drawn background on the other!! When spun, the two would look great together. What do you reckon?
