EXCITED!

As I type this my book has gone to print! It should be available to buy in a couple of weeks at the most. Fingers crossed we manage to sell some!

Don't worry. As soon as I know the link I'll post it!

hitch

The proof copy of my book has arrived! Unfortunately the publisher has noticed a few technical issues so publication has been delayed slightly. Still - it's a real book!!

BIG NEWS!

My book is almost just about as near as damn it to be published! The publisher is in the throes of sending it to the printers so hopefully it'll be out in time for Xmas. Can't wait to get my hands on a real proper copy. Yay!

Not sure why blogger crops the pics!?! But you get the gist.

colour

The y3's continued with their colour mixing investigations today. By gradually adding one colour to another they were able to create quite subtle variations.

sketch

Played around with a Little Red Riding Hood idea the other day and came up with this;

It's supposed to show the wolf pretending to be a tree whilst an unsuspecting LRRH walks calmy by! Lots of redrawing and judicious use of sticky white labels.
I like the way a shaft of sunlight happened to find it's way across the picture when I took the photo!

Poppies 3

A pic of the poppies we're currently making in y5/6. All have now been glazed and are currently being processed through the firing stages.

poppies 2

We're onto glazing our ceramic poppies. A couple of coats should hopefully do - we've only got 2L of red glaze!
