dinosaurs
Y2 have started studying dinosaurs so of course today we used a letter 'A' to draw some!
They drew a 'before' picture at the start (top left) before following simple instructions to create lots of different dinosaur.

A is for...
Today the y2's drew cheetahs. They have been learning all about them in class and did a 'before' picture (top left hand corner). They then followed simple, step by step instructions to enable them to draw more easily recognisable images. We did both standing and running versions. We even detailed the faces. Meanwhile, progress on my 'painting' table.Friday, January 6, 2012
a is for...dragon
One of the teachers asked me if I could help her y2 (aged 6 & 7) children draw dragons - they are looking at China. I quickly scribbled her an image based on the letter A.
Here are some of the resulting children's pictures. I think they've turned out very well, with each child creating a unique depiction of a mythological creature! I particularly wouldn't want to get in the way of the last dragon as it whipped it's tail around!

a is for pirates
Had parents meetings today - during the lulls I doodled a few pirates - all using an 'A' as a starting point. No luck yet from agents/publishers but then again I've only contacted those on the first few pages of the listings. I know the concept has potential, I'm just waiting for a publisher to think likewise.
